I cant wait for more news! you should totally make a monkey for it as well. A monkey would be great in a game like this. My only suggestion is maybe as addons the robot should have an antenna or something and maybe if you redo anything about it take a look at clank from the series "ratchet and clank" notice his jaw is partially connected by bolts, this allows for more expression.

keep up the great work! id love to play this or test it..

I like the antenna suggestion. The only problem with that is that it would clip through a lot of the hats :(

A monkey is a good idea although I don't know if it would interfere with marsh's "artistic vision" ::rolls eyes::

We should have a big update early next week. We have both been hard at work the last few weeks...

we could make a cool looking antenna hat! I can see that in my artistic vision . . .

Hehehe, yeah robot looks amazing, a bit "childish" but thats the style of the game :P

yup, it was made by a very childish person too, just ask Brian

Plus he loves robots. I can only handle "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" 10 times in a row before I want to break something expensive...

I love that you guys are going for that feel in the game though, customizing stuff really does contribute alot to the replay factor in a game. Being able to add the little hats and color all the cars and stuff really makes it a personalized experience, I agree that the antenna concept could just be done as a hat so it doesnt interfere with clipping stuff. The childishness is actually a good thing is this type of game, the massive popularity of mariokart says enough. If this were to be all realistically shaded and modelled anatomically correct, im pretty sure the game would suck. In some cases its a great thing to bring out the kid in a gamer. I think this game has a lot of potential and even if it starts as freeware i would love to see you guys make something off it too. I don't know what your powerups system is going to be like but I suggest really thinking up a couple unique but comical items. Many kart games have stuck with the mariokart formula to the point where its like a projectile, a homing projectile, and something to skid on. And while those are great powerups and fairly simple, adding some sort of comical spiced up version of one or the other always adds that moment for the gamer where its like "oh man i hope i get that weapon its so fun!"

Another thing you guys should check out is in a couple older games, for example: rock 'n roll racing for SNES, there was a minor upgrade system in the singleplayer where you could store more speedboosts or more missiles and upgrade the engine of your car and stuff. But it was all very simplified by having step 1,2,3 etc. The only issues this might bring up are some minor balancing problems for multiplayer but if you did it in a reward fashion instead, you could have players rewarded a single upgrade point for each race they finish in the top 3 or something. I apologize if im ranting or giving too many ideas to actually make work. Im just excited for a game like this.
